Why a curriculum that is rooted in the Seerah ﷺ?
[al-Imran: 190-191]
Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the day and night there are signs for people of reason. * ˹They are˺ those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth ˹and pray˺, “Our Lord! You have not created ˹all of˺ this without purpose. Glory be to You! Protect us from the torment of the Fire.
The Prophet ﷺ is not only the final messenger but the living embodiment of divine guidance, he is the "walking Qur’an." His Seerah is a complete pedagogical model that fulfills Allah’s command by centring knowing Allah as the core goal of attaining knowledge, all knowledge.
For Muslim children, understanding the world through the prism of the Prophet ﷺ is essential. By studying English, Math, and Science through this prism, every aspect of a students growth and development is rooted in the truth, in al-Haqq.
This, in turn, ensures their academic studies do not simply help them understand how the world works, but also how to live within it with integrity, purpose, and faith.
How is the Curriculum structured?
Each subject stream is divided by grade level, and each grade consists of 8 - 12 units that meet the curriculum objectives for that grade. Each unit uses one story or event from the seerah of the Prophet ﷺ as the prism through which to study the (Ontario) curriculum targets for that topic.
Each unit is also offered alongside curated curriculum resources, lesson plans and complete textbooks and workbooks.
Parents/teachers can choose to purchase just the curriculum outlines, or unit/grade bundles that allow you to be as hands-on, or as hands-off as you choose.
Our knowledge-driven approach enables students to engage in a deeper exploration of topics at their own pace – without curriculum timeframes or grade-driven learning.
